Travel Registered Nurse ER Job
Registered Nurse – Emergency Department travel assignment in Watertown, NY. Start date 06/15/2026 for 13 weeks. Weekly pay range $2,392–$2,470 per week with guaranteed hours of 36 per week. Shift is Nights, 2x3 schedule (7:00 pm–7:00 am) in a hospital setting. This is a travel temporary assignment managed by Healthforce Healthcare LLC.

Responsibilities
- Deliver professional ED nursing care to high-acuity patients across the emergency department
- Triage patients, monitor vital signs, administer medications, and perform procedures as trained
- Recognize life-threatening conditions and intervene promptly; initiate appropriate treatment and escalate when needed
- Document care in the MEDITECH electronic health record; communicate clinical findings to the care team
- Collaborate with physicians, charge nurses, and other multidisciplinary staff; participate in patient flow and throughput
- May assume duties as a charge nurse when assigned; provide leadership, prioritization, and delegation as needed
- Maintain patient safety and comfort, including safe patient handling and assistive device use
- Demonstrate strong communication with patients and families; provide education and discharge planning as appropriate
Requirements
- Current New York State RN license
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
- MEDITECH experience required
- Travel experience required
- Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing
- Critical Care and charge experience preferred
- Ability to identify and intervene in life-threatening situations; strong leadership and problem-solving skills
- May be required to serve as charge nurse; effective written and verbal communication
- Must be able to perform IV therapy, medication administration, and phlebotomy during orientation
- Must successfully complete lethal dysrhythmia exam during probation and be defibrillation certified within six months of employment
- Comfortable functioning in a fast-paced, high-stress environment; 100-mile radius rule applies
