Travel Registered Nurse ER Job
Registered Nurse – Emergency Room (ER) – Saint Louis, Missouri, US. Start date: 07/27/2026. Duration: Weeks. Weekly pay: 1,672–1,791 per week. Guaranteed hours: 36 hours per week. Shift: 3x12 Days. Travel - Temporary Assignment. Setting: ED in a hospital with an all-comers department, including pediatric considerations and a dedicated psych area.

- Travel program note: Travelers may be required to float within the service line
Responsibilities
- Deliver direct, urgent nursing care to ED patients across neonatal to geriatric ages, including triage, continuous monitoring, and rapid assessment.
- Perform 12-lead ECG interpretation, dysrhythmia recognition, and ACLS-level resuscitation; assist with airway management and ventilator support as needed.
- Start and maintain IV access, administer blood products and medications, and monitor responses; provide central line or chest tube care as credentialed.
- Recognize and respond to acute conditions such as trauma, stroke, STEMI, overdoses, sepsis, and behavioral/psychiatric holds; coordinate timely interventions.
- Coordinate with Respiratory, Radiology, Pharmacy, Social Services, Interpretation Services, and Unit Secretary to optimize patient flow and treatment plans.
- Document in EPIC with accurate, complete charting; communicate clearly with the ED team and outside services to ensure continuity of care.
Requirements
- Licenses: MO may submit without license (requires MO or compact). IL requires license in hand at submittal. Compact licenses must match permanent residence or ETA; active RN license in MO (or compact) or IL may be required at start.
- Certifications: ACLS, BLS (BCLS), NIHSS, PALS are required. CPI and TNCC are preferred.
- Experience: Minimum 2 years RN experience; first-timers not accepted; ED experience preferred; patient ratio experience around 1:4.
- Skills/Setting: Proficient in ED core tasks (triage, dysrhythmia recognition, resuscitation) and able to work in an ED environment with EPIC charting; comfortable with high-acuity, fast-paced care.
