Physical Therapist – Travel assignment in Hilo, Hawaii, US. Start date 05/04/2026 for 26 weeks. Weekly pay range $2,346–$2,394 per week. Guaranteed hours: 0. Shift: 5x8 Rotating. Work setting: acute inpatient unit with primary ACUTE INPATIENT coverage and secondary ACUTE REHAB/SNF rehab support in a healthcare setting.

Responsibilities
- Conduct initial evaluations and ongoing re-evaluations for adult patients in acute inpatient, acute rehab, and SNF rehab settings; plan and adjust PT plans of care per physician orders and consulting specialists
- Provide therapeutic interventions (therapeutic exercise, gait training, mobility work, manual therapy as appropriate) and monitor patient progress with adjustments as needed
- Collaborate with attending physicians, consulting specialists, nurses, and care teams; participate in rounds and care planning
- Document assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge planning in the Meditech EMR; ensure timely updates and accurate coding
- Maintain patient safety, infection control, and compliance with clinical policies; respond to changes in patient status and coordinate with the team
- Availability to cover shifts, weekends, and holidays as required by hospital operations
Requirements
- Active Hawaii Physical Therapist license required by start date; if not currently possessed, must apply upon offer acceptance
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
- Minimum 6 months of work experience in at least one of the following settings: acute inpatient, rehab hospital, or SNF rehab
- Proficiency with Meditech EMR or willingness to learn
- Ability to work in a dynamic inpatient/rehabilitation environment; flexible to work varied shifts, weekends, and holidays as needed
