Responsibilities
- Deliver direct nursing care to ICU patients according to established standards and the nursing process.
- Monitor patient status, interpret data, and implement care plans; respond promptly to changes in condition.
- Administer medications and treatments per physician orders; document outcomes accurately.
- Supervise and direct activities of assigned nursing staff and assistive personnel; coordinate with other disciplines.
- Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and support teams to optimize patient outcomes.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and patient-centered environment; uphold infection control and safety protocols.
Requirements
- Active California RN license or eligibility to obtain licensure in California.
- ICU or critical care experience; prior hospital-based critical care preferred.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; ACLS certification preferred.
- Graduation from an approved nursing program; ability to obtain/hold RN licensure in California.
- Ability to work nights in a hospital ICU setting.
- Willingness to travel for a temporary assignment.
