Responsibilities
- Provide respiratory care and treatment for patients with COPD, asthma, interstitial lung disease, and other cardiopulmonary conditions
- Assess patients’ physical and mental status; perform clinical evaluations and skill-based procedures
- Monitor ventilatory support and respond to cardiopulmonary symptoms; adjust care as clinically indicated
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team; participate in problem-solving and care planning
- Educate patients and groups as appropriate; maintain current knowledge of regulatory standards and patient safety goals
- Participate in required education for program curricula; float to other departments as qualified when needed; perform other related duties as assigned
Requirements
- Current Oregon RT License (active) and current Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential
- Certifications: PALS, NRP, BLS, and ACLS are required
- Education: Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program
- Experience: None required
- CRASE training: If travel assignment extends beyond a 6-month period, CRASE training will be required
