Travel Registered Nurse ER Job
Key Highlights
- Weekly pay: $1,963–$2,092 per week
- Contract length: 13 weeks
- Shift: 3x12-hour Night shifts

- Setting: Short Term Acute Care Hospital – Emergency Department
- Orientation and onboarding: 8 hours non-billable orientation; UKG timekeeping; Epic training
Responsibilities
- Provide emergency nursing care for adult and pediatric ED patients; perform triage and rapid patient assessment.
- Monitor patient status, administer medications, initiate IVs, manage pain, and perform life-saving interventions as needed.
- Implement chest pain and stroke protocols; activate ED pathways and collaborate with ED physicians and care teams.
- Document care in the electronic health record; communicate changes in patient condition to the multidisciplinary team; ensure patient safety.
- Support patient throughput, admissions, transfers, and discharges; manage inpatient boarders per unit policy when applicable.
Requirements
- Active RN license in Kansas or Multi-State RN license.
- BLS, ACLS, PALS; NIHSS and Conscious Sedation Competency.
- Minimum 1 year ED experience within the last 12 months; 2 years preferred.
- No floating outside the ED; able to work in a high-acuity ED environment.
- Ability to work 12-hour night shifts; good teamwork and adaptability in a fast-paced ED setting.
