Travel Physical Therapist Job
Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) – Mattoon, Illinois. This travel assignment, managed by Healthforce Healthcare LLC, starts May 18, 2026 for 13 weeks. You’ll be guaranteed 40 hours per week with a weekly pay range of $1,333 to $1,371. Shifts run 8:00 AM–4:30 PM, with the option to work 4x10-hour days if preferred. The role supports patient rehabilitation in an inpatient rehabilitation/acute care environment under the supervision of a physical therapist.

Responsibilities
- Implement physical therapy interventions as delegated by the supervising PT, applying appropriate manual techniques, modalities, and equipment described in the patient’s plan of care.
- Monitor patient safety and comfort; adapt treatments as the patient progresses and communicate changes to the supervising PT.
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient progress and ensure compliance with facility and payer documentation requirements.
- Provide individualized patient and caregiver education to support ongoing recovery and self-management.
- Maintain clinical competency across assigned patient needs; pursue ongoing education opportunities as available.
- Collaborate with other staff to support a clean, organized, and effective rehabilitation environment.
Requirements
- Active Illinois Physical Therapy Assistant license (REQUIRED)
- Active American Heart Association BLS certification (REQUIRED)
- 2+ years PTA experience (REQUIRED)
- Strong background in Total Knee Replacement (REQUIRED)
- Total Hip Replacement experience (PREFERRED)
- Submission documents: 2 Supervisory Reference Forms completed with dates employed (REQUIRED)
- Skills Checklist current to 1 year, pertinent to the PTA specialty (REQUIRED)
- Permanent address outside a 50-mile radius from the assignment location (REQUIRED)
