Responsibilities
- Deliver direct nursing care to ICU patients according to the nursing process and established standards.
- Monitor critically ill patients, including those requiring ventilator support, invasive monitoring, and hemodynamic management.
- Administer prescribed medications and interventions, respond to emergencies, and maintain patient safety.
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to coordinate timely care, discharge planning, and family communication.
- Document assessments, plans, and outcomes in the patient record with accuracy and in a timely manner.
- Supervise and direct activities of other nursing staff and support team members as assigned.
Requirements
- Active RN license in California (state of practice).
- At least 2 years of recent ICU/acute care experience.
- CPR/BLS required; ACLS and PALS required (AHA or ARC certifications).
- NIH Stroke Scale certification or demonstrated ability to obtain.
- EPIC EMR experience is required.
- BSN degree preferred.
