Travel Registered Nurse ER Job
Registered Nurse, Emergency Department (Travel) in Olathe, KS. 13-week travel assignment starting 04/26/2026. Earn a weekly pay rate of $2,110 to $2,180 per week. Shift: 3x12-hour Nights (7:00 PM–7:30 AM). Setting: Short Term Acute Care Hospital with an Emergency Department. This ED handles chest pain and primary stroke center protocols and supports inpatient boarders as needed.

Responsibilities
- Provide direct bedside nursing care for ED patients during 12-hour night shifts, including triage, rapid assessment, and ongoing monitoring.
- Administer medications and treatments per physician orders; document responses and adjust care as needed.
- Collaborate with ED physicians, nurses, and ancillary teams; assist with procedures such as IV placement, labs, imaging, and resuscitation.
- Monitor for and respond to chest pain and stroke symptoms; initiate appropriate acute interventions and coordinate timely transfers or admissions.
- Manage inpatient boarders within the ED as needed; support discharge planning, admissions, and patient flow.
- Maintain patient safety, infection control, documentation accuracy, and compliance with hospital policies.
Requirements
- Active RN license in Kansas or multi-state license with privilege to practice in Kansas
- Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, Conscious Sedation Competency
- Experience: Minimum 1 year ED experience within the last 12 months; 2 years preferred
- Education: Nursing degree (Associate’s or higher)
- Ability to perform essential ED duties, including 12-hour night shifts, in a fast-paced environment
- TNCC certification preferred
- Floating: Will not float out of the ED/unit
- Weekend requirements: Up to 3 weekend nights per pay period
- Other: Holidays may be required based on unit needs
