Responsibilities
- Provide direct clinical nursing care to patients in the Stem Cell Transplant and Cellular Therapy outpatient infusion population
- Administer chemotherapy, blood products, donor leukocytes, and CAR-T cell infusions per established protocols
- Monitor patient status, including telemetry, assess for adverse effects, and respond to changes in clinical condition
- Educate patients and families on treatment plans, infusion procedures, potential side effects, and post-infusion care; coordinate multidisciplinary team communication
- Document nursing care accurately in the electronic health record; ensure safety, quality, and regulatory compliance
- Collaborate with hematology/oncology specialists, pharmacists, and support services to optimize care delivery and discharge planning
Requirements
- Active RN license (New York)
- Hematology/Oncology experience required (2 years)
- ONC certification required
- BLS certification (American Heart Association)
- Telemetry experience
- Recent acute care experience required
