- As an L&D RN, you’ll manage intrapartum and postpartum care with a patient-centered approach: fetal monitoring, labor support, cerclage and augmentation as indicated, pain management coordination, obstetric emergencies, newborn stabilization, breastfeeding support, and comprehensive discharge planning.
