- Credentialing and orientation: ARRT Radiography certification; Kansas license (or eligibility upon offer); credentials due 1 week prior; orientation sessions Mon–Tue with nursing orientation bi-weekly
Responsibilities
- Perform and scrub for interventional radiology procedures; assist radiologists during imaging-guided interventions; monitor patient status and equipment during cases
- Operate Siemens imaging systems (Artis Icono, Artis Q, Artis Zee) in single-plane setup; ensure image quality and radiation safety
- Maintain sterile technique, manage contrast administration, and document procedures accurately
- Support a high-volume, siloed IR environment (7 rooms; 60–65 cases per day); collaborate with nursing and imaging staff; assist with neck-down procedures and thyroid biopsies as needed
- Ensure patient preparation, post-procedure care, equipment readiness, and orderly turnover between cases
- May float to other IR areas as needed and participate in orientation and credentialing processes
Requirements
- Active ARRT Radiography certification (in hand)
- Kansas State Board of Healing Arts license (or ability to apply upon offer)
- Minimum 2 years IR experience with scrub experience required; 3 years in a large hospital setting preferred (including peripheral and neurovascular experience)
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, siloed IR unit; flexible to float to related IR areas
- Eligibility to travel to the assignment location and work in a hospital setting
