Responsibilities
- Conduct PT evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans based on assessment findings
- Deliver therapeutic interventions including gait training, strengthening, ROM, balance, and functional mobility activities
- Monitor patient progress, adjust treatment plans, and document outcomes in the medical record per policy
- Educate patients and, when appropriate, caregivers on home exercise programs and safety precautions
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to coordinate care and ensure continuity of services
- Ensure proper use of therapy equipment, adherence to infection control standards, and compliance with facility policies
Requirements
- Ability to work effectively in a corrections setting
- Demonstrated communication and documentation skills essential for patient care coordination
- Willingness to adhere to assignment schedule and duration
- Basic bedside and clinical skills aligned with standard physical therapy practice
