Travel Registered Nurse Med Surg Job
Registered Nurse, Med Surg in Utica, NY. Travel - temporary assignment starting 06/01/2026 for 13 weeks. Guaranteed 36 hours per week on a 2x3 night shift. Weekly pay range: $2,167 - $2,265 per week. Med Surg unit in a hospital setting.

Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care for adult medical-surgical patients, including postoperative and common diagnoses such as abdominal issues, fracture, osteoarthritis, back pain, and bariatric procedures.
- Monitor and assess patient condition, administer prescribed medications and therapies, manage IV pumps, NG tubes, and feeding tubes.
- Document assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately in the EMR (EPIC); ensure compliance with unit protocols and quality standards.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team (physicians, wound, rehab, and case management) to coordinate care and discharge planning.
- Maintain patient safety and comfort, respond to changes in clinical status, and perform appropriate escalation when needed.
- Float to cover adjacent adult med-surg units as required.
Requirements
- Active New York RN license; Nursys verification of licenses
- Current AHA BLS certification
- 2+ years of med-surgical (MS) experience; travel experience required
- EMR experience with EPIC
- Ability to work nights and float to related units as needed
- RTO (time off) requests must be included at submission
- Local candidates within 75 miles may qualify for local rate
