Responsibilities
- Provide direct, compassionate nursing care to residents in a long-term care setting, including assessment, monitoring, and documentation.
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments, ensuring accurate administration and charting.
- Monitor patient status, vital signs, and response to therapies; escalate changes to the supervising RN and physician as needed.
- Assist residents with activities of daily living, supporting mobility, hygiene, nutrition, and comfort while maintaining safety and dignity.
- Collaborate with licensed nursing staff and the interdisciplinary team to implement care plans and ensure continuity of care.
- Adhere to infection control protocols, safety policies, and regulatory requirements; complete timely documentation.
Requirements
- Active Licensed Practical Nurse license (or eligibility to practice as an LPN)
- Prior experience in long-term care or skilled nursing settings preferred
- Ability to perform 12-hour day shifts in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication, teamwork, and documentation skills
- Commitment to resident safety, privacy, and quality care
- Ability to meet onboarding and background check requirements
