Registered Nurse – Emergency Department (ER) travel assignment in Watertown, NY. Start date 11/02/2026 for 13 weeks, with guaranteed 36 hours per week. Responsibilities
- Deliver emergency nursing care to ED patients, including initial assessment, triage, monitoring, interventions, and re-evaluation.
- Administer medications, perform procedures within scope, initiate life-saving treatments, and respond to code situations; communicate with the ED care team for timely patient management.
- Document patient status, treatments, and outcomes in the electronic medical record (MEDITECH) and provide accurate handoffs at shift change.
- Collaborate with the charge nurse and multidisciplinary team; prioritize and delegate tasks; may assume duties as charge nurse when required.
- Ensure patient safety through appropriate use of lifts and safe patient handling; provide clear patient and family education and discharge planning as appropriate.
- Maintain composure and professional communication in a high-stress environment; adhere to infection control, safety policies, and quality standards.

Requirements
- Active NYS Registered Nurse license (current)
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS required
- MEDITECH EMR experience required
- Travel nursing experience required
- Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing
- Critical Care and/or charge nurse experience preferred
- Lethal dysrhythmia exam required during probation; defibrillation certification within six months of employment
- IV, medication, and phlebotomy certification required during orientation
