Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive speech-language evaluations for residents with communication and swallowing disorders
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans and document progress
- Provide direct therapy to residents and adjust interventions based on outcomes
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary care team to coordinate care, discharge planning, and goals
- Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation in accordance with regulatory and facility requirements
- Support caregiver and family education related to communication and swallowing strategies
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Current Maryland licensure to practice as a Speech-Language Pathologist or eligibility to obtain licensure
- Ability to work in a long-term care setting with adult residents
- Strong communication, documentation, and teamwork skills
- Willingness to commit to 35 hours per week for the duration of the assignment
- Travel assignment experience preferred but not required
