Travel Registered Nurse Outpatient Job
Registered Nurse, Outpatient — Saint Helena, California. Travel assignment at a short-term acute care hospital. Start date: 08/03/2026. Duration: 13 weeks. Guaranteed hours: 40 per week. Weekly pay: $1,840 to $1,946 per week. Shift: Day shift with a 4x10s schedule; typical start times between 5:30 am and 11:00 am; Monday–Friday with rotating day off. This role supports outpatient surgery and endoscopy in a fast-paced, perioperative-focused setting.

Responsibilities
- Deliver coordinated nursing care for outpatient surgery and endoscopy patients according to established standards and the nursing process.
- Supervise and direct activities of nursing staff with collaboration across disciplines; apply critical thinking and independent judgment.
- Collect relevant patient data, analyze assessment findings, develop and implement care plans, and evaluate progress toward outcomes.
- Provide education to patients and families; participate in discharge planning to ensure continuity of care.
- Delegate duties appropriately and coordinate the work of the nursing team; support pre-op, intraoperative, and PACU Phase II workflows.
- Contribute to a safe, efficient, and patient-centered environment; support rapid turnover and, when applicable, moderate sedation protocols.
Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse license in the state of California
- BLS and ACLS certification; PALS or ARC-PALS required
- Endoscopy experience or strong outpatient surgery/perioperative background strongly preferred
- Minimum of 2 years recent nursing experience in the field
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred
- Comfortable working in an outpatient/perioperative setting and supporting pre-op and PACU Phase II workflows
- Able to manage open-heart preop and total joint patient pathways as part of the perioperative continuum
