Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive vascular ultrasound examinations, including arterial and venous studies, following department protocols
- Prepare patients, position with proper compression and safety, and operate ultrasound equipment to acquire high-quality diagnostic images
- Document findings clearly in the EMR and communicate results to the supervising physician or medical team
- Adhere to unit-specific protocols, ensure patient safety, and maintain equipment quality and infection control standards
- Coordinate with nurses and physicians for patient care, including perioperative and outpatient vascular evaluations
- Demonstrate competency in the specialty with timely completion of skills checklists and ongoing professional development
Requirements
- Active New Hampshire license required at time of submission (temp license available during application)
- Certification: BLS; RVT by CCI or ARDMS RVT certification required
- Experience: minimum 2+ years of dedicated vascular ultrasound experience in an acute care vascular lab
- Unit-specific experience within the last 6–9 months preferred; local candidates may be considered
- EMR experience preferred (Cerner experience helpful but not required)
- Ability to work in a hospital lab setting and participate in rotating call as required
- Must meet the assignment’s geographic requirements and be able to travel within the region as needed
