Responsibilities
- Perform radiographic procedures with minimal supervision, ensuring safety and accuracy to support diagnostic interpretation.
- Prepare and position patients, select imaging modalities, and protect patients with appropriate shielding and infection control.
- Operate imaging equipment (including fluoroscopy as required, and bone density imaging) and process, label, and transfer images for radiologist review.
- Maintain high image quality and apply appropriate exposure factors; monitor equipment for proper function and perform routine quality checks.
- Document procedures and enter study data in the electronic health record (EPIC); collaborate with radiologists, physicians, and other care team members across departments (OR, ER, orthopedics, outpatient, and pain clinic) as needed.
- Adhere to universal precautions, radiation safety guidelines, and hospital protocols; ensure patient privacy and data integrity throughout the imaging process.
Requirements
- Active Massachusetts Radiologic Technologist License: Category Radiography
- ARRT certification (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists)
- BLS/CPR certification
- 2+ years of Radiologic Technologist experience preferred
- EPIC experience required
- Ability to work in a hospital setting and participate in a rotating schedule
- Willingness to travel for a 13-week assignment; non-local candidates only per assignment guidelines
