Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive physical therapy evaluations to establish individualized treatment plans.
- Deliver therapy interventions in inpatient and acute inpatient rehabilitation settings, including orthopedic, neurological, ICU, and other acute rehab disciplines.
- Implement established treatment protocols and adapt modalities to patient needs; monitor progress toward goals.
- Prepare and communicate discharge plans; coordinate with the interdisciplinary care team and family as appropriate.
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation within established deadlines, using the EPIC EMR.
- Supervise assigned assistants and ensure compliance with safety and infection control standards.

Requirements
- Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree; required. Note: applicable if license was obtained on or after January 2016 or if a foreign equivalent is held.
- Physical Therapy licensure in the state of practice (California) or equivalent allowed for the state of assignment; required.
- CPR or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved vendor; required.
- Minimum two years of recent Physical Therapy experience; preferred but reflected as a requirement in the notes.
- EPIC EMR experience is required.
- Eligibility to work in the listed setting (inpatient and acute inpatient rehabilitation; no outpatient); experience in orthopedic, neuro, ICU, or acute rehab settings is desirable.
- Weekend coverage may be required and schedules can include weekends with a rotation or comp day.
