Glenwood Springs, CO
Contracted
Valley View Hospital
Mid Level
Step into a rewarding role as a Registered Nurse specializing in Ambulatory Care, where your expertise will guide patients through efficient, compassionate outpatient journeys that improve health outcomes and elevate everyday wellness. In Glenwood Springs, Colorado, you’ll join a dedicated outpatient team that values precision, patient education, and proactive care coordination. This opportunity starts on 03/31/2026 and offers a flexible, short-term contract designed to showcase your skills in a high-volume ambulatory setting while you experience the beauty and vitality of life in Colorado. You’ll be part of a network that believes every patient deserves timely access to outstanding care, clear explanations, and a confident care plan. If you’re ready to impact communities day by day and inspire trust in every interaction, this role was built for you. And beyond the clinic walls, Colorado’s dramatic canyons, mountain passes, and sunlit valleys invite you to unwind and recharge after meaningful shifts.
Glenwood Springs is a remarkable base for your ambulatory care practice. Nestled at the confluence of the Roaring Fork and Colorado rivers, the area blends small-town warmth with easy access to renowned natural wonders. You’ll enjoy the town’s famed hot springs, scenic trails, and vibrant downtown scene, all while you contribute to outpatient clinics that serve locals and visitors alike. The opportunity to work in Glenwood Springs means daily exposure to diverse patient populations, from preventive care clinics and imaging centers to community-based specialty practices. If you’re open to short assignments in other U.S. locations, you’ll have the chance to experience a variety of outpatient settings—from mountain towns to coastal suburbs—without sacrificing the stability and protection of a guaranteed 38 hours per week. Expect a professional environment that supports you as you explore different communities and refine your ambulatory care practice in varied contexts.
As an Ambulatory Care RN, you’ll play a pivotal role in patient assessment, triage, and education. Your day may include pre-visit screenings, wound and dressing care, medication reconciliation, IV therapies and venipuncture within outpatient clinics, ECGs, and post-procedure monitoring. You’ll coordinate referrals, arrange follow-up appointments, and provide thorough discharge instructions, ensuring patients understand their care plan and how to navigate next steps. You’ll manage documentation in electronic health records with accuracy and efficiency, document care plans, and collaborate with physicians, mid-level providers, and ancillary staff to optimize patient flow and minimize unnecessary delays. The position emphasizes growth within ambulatory care—whether you want to deepen expertise in chronic disease management, expand into care coordination roles, or pursue leadership opportunities within the clinic network. A challenging, fast-paced environment will keep your clinical skills sharp, while mentorship and structured opportunities support your professional trajectory.
Compensation reflects a strong value proposition: weekly pay ranging from $2,351 to $2,395, with guaranteed 38 hours per week. You’ll also benefit from a comprehensive package that includes a sign-on bonus, housing assistance or stipends to ease transition, and opportunities for contract extensions based on performance and clinic needs. The program is designed to be predictable and rewarding, with ongoing access to clinical resources, patient education materials, and streamlined processes that reduce administrative friction so you can focus on patient care. You’ll receive robust support—from onboarding through shift completion—backed by 24/7 assistance as you travel and rotate through outpatient sites. This unwavering support ensures you’re never navigating complex cases or unfamiliar clinics alone, and it reinforces your ability to deliver consistent, high-quality ambulatory care wherever your assignments take you.
The company values empowering every clinician to grow, learn, and advance. You’ll join a culture that prioritizes professional development, mentorship, and teamwork in a respectful, inclusive environment. Expect access to continuing education opportunities, leadership pathways, and recognition for clinical excellence. The organization understands that strong, supported clinicians translate into better patient experiences and improved health outcomes, and it invests in strategies that cultivate confidence, autonomy, and career fulfillment. You’ll work within a system that honors work-life balance, safety, and compassionate patient care, while providing the resources you need to excel and lead within ambulatory care settings.
If you’re drawn to a role that blends clinical versatility with the outdoor allure of Colorado, and you want to be part of a team that values your care, expertise, and aspirations, this opportunity is for you.
