Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to residents in a long-term care environment, following established care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments per physician orders, observing for adverse effects and safety concerns.
- Conduct resident assessments, monitor vital signs, and promptly report changes in condition.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to develop and update individualized care plans.
- Document care accurately in the electronic health record; ensure records are current and compliant with privacy and safety standards.
- Promote resident safety and comfort, manage infection control practices, and assist with activities of daily living as needed.
Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse license in Maine or eligibility for licensure in Maine.
- Availability to work night shifts in a long-term care setting.
- Strong communication and documentation skills; ability to collaborate with the care team.
- Experience in long-term care or geriatric care preferred.
- Ability to meet the physical and time-demand requirements of night-shift nursing care.
