Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care to Med Surg patients according to the plan of care and physician orders.
- Monitor, assess, and document patient status; administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments as prescribed.
- Collaborate with the health care team, communicate changes in patient condition, and participate in care planning.
- Float between medical floor and surgical/oncology units as assigned; maintain patient safety, infection control, and system-wide standards.
- Document in Epic EMR and support accurate charting, orders, and care coordination.
- Deliver patient and family education; contribute to discharge planning and transition of care.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years Med Surg nursing experience
- Prior travel nursing experience required
- BLS certification
- Ability to float between medical floor and surgical/oncology units
- Epic EMR experience or familiarity
- Availability for a 12-hour night shift with guaranteed 36 hours per week
