Responsibilities
- Operate imaging equipment to produce radiographs of designated body areas; select appropriate technical factors and tailor exams to patient age and condition.
- Assist physicians with administering opaque media (contrast agents) as needed and directed.
- Maintain patient flow, coordinate imaging procedures, and keep accurate records; participate in quality control and quality assurance activities.
- Troubleshoot and maintain imaging printing equipment and PACS systems; ensure imaging data is properly stored and archived.
- Provide safe, age-appropriate patient care; transport and position patients as required; practice radiation protection for self and patient.
- Participate in on-call assignments and schedule changes as necessary; contribute to a cooperative, cross-trained team in a fast-paced, multi-modality environment.
Requirements
- Active radiologic technologist license with current certifications as required by local administration and regulatory agencies (per Job Notes)
- Education in radiologic technology with ongoing completion of required licenses, certifications, and education timelines (per Job Notes)
- Relevant experience in diagnostic radiology; ability to work effectively in a multi-modality imaging department (per Job Notes)
- Ability to work in a fast-paced clinical setting and maintain patient safety and comfort
- Willingness to participate in on-call assignments and schedule changes as needed (per Job Notes)
- Proficiency with PACS and imaging record-keeping; ability to operate and troubleshoot imaging-related printing equipment (per Job Notes)
