Responsibilities
- Monitor telemetry patient data, interpret rhythms, identify alarms, and initiate appropriate actions
- Administer medications and treatments per provider orders; document care in the electronic medical record
- Perform ongoing patient assessments; escalate changes in condition to the care team promptly
- Provide patient and family education within scope of practice; ensure safety and comfort
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teammates and coordinate with charge nurses and physicians
- Float to related units as needed per division needs while maintaining competency and safety
Requirements
- Active Kansas RN license; BLS certification
- Associate degree in nursing
- 1+ year Telemetry RN experience in a hospital setting
- Ability to work 12-hour night shifts; willing to float to other units as needed
- Credentialing tasks (CBC, DS, and required labs) completed within 72 hours of offer acceptance
- Scheduling: every other weekend required; two major holidays per assignment
