Responsibilities
- Deliver coordinated nursing care for an ICU patient group using the nursing process.
- Assess data, determine diagnoses, and develop and implement an appropriate care plan; monitor and adjust as needed.
- Administer medications and treatments; document responses and ensure patient safety.
- Supervise and direct activities of nursing staff across shifts; collaborate with interdisciplinary team.
- Participate in discharge planning and provide education to patients and families.
- Document care and outcomes in the electronic health record; promote a safe, healing environment.
Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse license in the state of practice (California)
- CPR/BLS certification required; ACLS certification required; PALS certification required
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required
- NIH Stroke Scale certification required
- EPIC electronic medical record experience required
- Minimum two years of recent ICU experience
- BSN preferred (not required)
