Responsibilities
- Perform mammography imaging studies according to department procedures to obtain high-quality diagnostic results.
- Set up the imaging equipment and position patients correctly to complete procedures.
- Provide safe, age-appropriate care and monitor patient comfort during imaging.
- Exercise independent judgment and initiative in the use of equipment to achieve accurate diagnostic data.
- Adapt to department needs and schedules; maintain professionalism, dependability, and cooperative teamwork.
- Maintain minimum FDA/MQSA continuing education requirements and keep imaging equipment and records up to date.
Requirements
- Active Georgia radiologic technologist license or eligibility for licensure per state requirements.
- Ability to independently perform a wide variety of imaging procedures and accurately position patients.
- Must be flexible with work hours to meet department needs; dependable, accountable, and cooperative.
- Ability to maintain FDA/MQSA continuing education requirements and stay current with equipment standards.
- Demonstrated capacity to obtain quality diagnostic studies and to work safely in a fast-paced imaging environment.
