Responsibilities
- Assess patients’ physical and psychosocial condition in the ER and document findings using the nursing process.
- Develop and implement a patient care plan with nursing diagnoses and interventions, involving the patient, family, and healthcare team; revise as needed.
- Deliver and coordinate care in collaboration with physicians and allied health professionals; execute therapeutic interventions as ordered.
- Document assessments, plans, and outcomes accurately and timely; communicate significant changes to the team, patient, and family.
- Participate in performance improvement activities, risk management, and ongoing education; ensure adherence to PPE and safety protocols.
- Provide patient and family education based on assessed learning needs and support discharge planning and referrals as indicated.

Requirements
- Current, active RN license to practice in Colorado (or eligibility/compact license) as applicable.
- Ability to perform essential ER nursing duties and apply the nursing process in a fast-paced setting.
- Strong documentation and communication skills; ability to coordinate with physicians, nurses, and allied health staff.
- Proficiency with information systems and charting; ability to complete required documentation accurately and promptly.
- Availability to work 3x12-hour night shifts, including potential holiday coverage as needed.
- Commitment to patient safety and adherence to standard precautions and PPE requirements.
