Responsibilities
- Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals to patients undergoing scans, via oral, injection, or inhalation
- Operate imaging equipment, including SPECT/CT scanners, to create diagnostic images
- Process images of the brain, thyroid, bone, heart, lungs, kidneys, and liver; generate computer-based images for interpretation
- Explain the imaging procedure to patients, answer questions, ensure comfort, and position patients for scanning
- Maintain detailed records of radiopharmaceuticals used and the procedures performed
- Follow safety procedures to protect staff and patients from unnecessary radiation exposure
Requirements
- New Hampshire license and certification to practice nuclear medicine
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) certification
- 1 year of nuclear medicine experience preferred
- Ability to work in a day shift travel assignment
- Willingness to comply with radiation safety standards and maintain accurate documentation
