Travel Registered Nurse ER Job
Emergency Department Registered Nurse (ER RN) – Everett, WA. Travel - Temporary Assignment. Start date 06/22/2026. Duration: Weeks. Shift: 3x12-hour days. Weekly pay: $1,741–$1,814 per week. Facility type: Hospital. This position is in a Level II Adult Trauma Center with a Level III pediatric trauma center, and is a primary STEMI and stroke receiving center. The ED handles high-acuity cases with an average patient volume around 220 visits per day and requires strong critical-care skills, teamwork, and adaptability. Orientation is 24 hours. Travelers may float within the hospital and to sister facilities as needed. Local candidates are not accepted for this assignment.

Responsibilities
- Deliver high-acuity emergency care for adult and pediatric patients, including triage, rapid assessment, stabilization, and ongoing management of critically ill patients
- Provide trauma, stroke (STEMI-ready), and STEMI care; manage ventilated patients, arterial/central lines, and IV vasopressors as needed
- Administer blood products, monitor procedural sedation, interpret dysrhythmias, and perform ABG interpretation
- Operate in a fast-paced ED with patient ratios around 4:1; collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (IV teams, RT, PT, pharmacy, radiology, phlebotomy, social services, transport, interpretation)
- Document care in EPIC with accurate, timely charting; ensure compliance with hospital policies and best practices
- Support pediatric and adult patients within a combined ED environment; contribute to behavioral health de-escalation as appropriate
- Participate in ongoing quality and safety initiatives and adapt to floating assignments within the facility
Requirements
- licensure: current RN license to practice in Washington
- Experience: Minimum 2 years RN experience required; travel experience required; first-time travelers accepted only if they meet the 2-year minimum
- Certifications: BLS (BCLS), ACLS, PALS or ENPC, TNCC, NIHSS (all listed certifications required)
- Charting: EPIC experience required
- Specialty experience: ED clinical skills for high-acuity care, trauma, STEMI/stroke, ventilator management, and related procedures
- Education: RN-level credential; education specifics not separately listed in notes
- Ability to work in a busy Level II/Level III ED environment with fluctuating patient acuity and to float per assignment needs
- Eligibility constraints: Locals are not accepted for this assignment; willingness to work 3 of 5 holidays as required
