Travel Registered Nurse Charge Acute Care Job
Registered Nurse - Endoscopy (Endo) Charge, travel assignment in a short-term acute care setting in Geneva, New York. Start date 08/31/2026 for 26 weeks. Weekly pay range: $2,319 per week to $2,540 per week. Shift: 4x9s (36 hours) with a one-hour call response time; call rotation includes two full weekends and 6-8 days of call per month, with at least one Friday, one Saturday, and one Sunday on call. Shifts start 6:30 AM (Pre-Op Endo), 7:00 AM (Circulator/Endo Tech), or 7:30 AM (Post-Op Endo) depending on the assigned daily role. Role supports adult, adolescent, and geriatric patients undergoing endoscopy procedures within a short-term acute care setting. Responsibilities
- Assess patient and family needs, develop an individualized plan of care in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team, and monitor patient progress.
- Provide endoscopy-focused nursing across pre-procedure, intra-procedure, and post-procedure phases; assist with endoscopic interventions as assigned.
- Administer medications, manage perioperative sedation and anesthesia considerations, monitor vital signs, and respond to clinical changes.
- Educate patients and families about self-care after discharge, including medications, activity, and any required lifestyle adjustments.
- Ensure infection prevention practices, safe medication administration, and accurate documentation; promote a healing, patient-centered environment.
- Collaborate with physicians and other health professionals to optimize patient outcomes; participate in ongoing quality improvement activities as applicable.
- Participate in the call rotation and adhere to the stated call response times as part of the assignment.
Requirements
- Active RN license in New York (NYS RN Licensure)
- Minimum 1 year of Endoscopy (Endo) nursing experience
- Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS (as required)
- Ability to care for adult, adolescent, and geriatric patient populations
- Willingness to participate in the on-call rotation and comply with shift start times as described
- Eligible for travel assignment and capable of meeting job-specific duties and responsibilities
