Registered Nurse - Pediatric Emergency Department | West Chester, PA, United States. Travel assignment starting 07/23/2026 for 11 weeks in a hospital-based pediatric ED. Weekly pay range: $1,996–$2,122 per week with 36 hours guaranteed. Shift: three 12-hour night shifts per week (7:00 pm–7:30 am). This is a travel, temporary assignment in a hospital setting with an 8-bed unit that typically staffs 1–2 RNs per shift and a patient-to-nurse ratio of 1–3.

Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to pediatric patients in the ER, including triage, initial assessment, continuous monitoring, and escalation as needed.
- Administer medications, start IV access, manage therapies, and support airway and critical interventions per protocols.
- Collaborate with ED physicians, mid-level providers, and the care team; accurately document patient status and care in the electronic medical record.
- Maintain patient safety, infection control, and equipment readiness; adapt to fluctuating acuity within a small, private-room unit.
- Communicate with families, provide age-appropriate discharge instructions, and coordinate post-discharge follow-up as directed.
- Respond to emergencies (codes) and participate in rapid assessment and treatment in a high-acuity pediatric environment.
Requirements
- Active PA license or compact license to practice in Pennsylvania
- BSN required
- Certifications: BLS and NRP
- Minimum 1 year of full-time general pediatric nursing experience
- Ability to work in a hospital pediatric ER setting
- Full compliance completed prior to start; no pending items
- Orientation provided on 07/23 for local contract nursing program
