Travel Registered Nurse PCU Job
Registered Nurse – PCU (Progressive Care Unit) in Plattsburgh, NY, starting 06/01/2026 for a 4-week travel assignment in a hospital setting. Shifts are 3x12-hour days. Weekly pay ranges from $2,242 to $2,320. This temporary assignment does not guarantee hours.

Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to adult patients in the PCU with acute cardiac and related conditions, including ACS and post-procedural care
- Monitor telemetry, assess vitals, and respond to deteriorations; contribute to timely escalation of care
- Administer medications and IV therapies, including insulin drips and cardiac drips, and manage IV starts
- Perform EKGs, vascular access, and routine unit procedures; participate in post-procedure monitoring and care
- Document care in the EPIC system; collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to support care plans
- Maintain patient safety and comfort; participate in the unit’s float pool as needed and adhere to unit protocols
Requirements
- Current New York RN license (active) on file at time of submission
- BLS and ACLS certifications required; NIHSS required prior to start
- Minimum 1 year of clinical experience; 1 year of experience in the specialty (PCU/telemetry) required
- Epic experience within the past 2 years required
- Experience with insulin drips, cardiac drips, starting IVs, and post-cardiac cath care
- Ability to work in an acute inpatient PCU with telemetry; willingness to float to appropriate units as needed
- Nurse-to-patient ratio on the unit is approximately 3:1
