Travel Registered Nurse ICU Job
Registered Nurse – ICU/IMCU travel assignment in Atlanta, GA, starting 06/15/2026 for 8 weeks. Weekly pay ranges from $1,601 to $1,734 per week with 36 guaranteed hours each week. Shift is nights, 2x3 blocks. The role is in an inpatient care environment with units that blend ICU and stepdown responsibilities, with floating between the two as needed. Responsibilities
- Provide direct, evidence-based nursing care for neuro ICU and IMCU patients according to unit policies and care plans
- Conduct comprehensive neuro assessments and continuous monitoring; interpret cardiovascular and neurologic data to inform treatment
- Manage ICU and stepdown patient needs, including hemodynamic monitoring, arterial/central lines as applicable, and ventilator support within scope
- Administer prescribed medications and therapies; monitor responses and adverse effects; adjust care in collaboration with the team
- Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and ancillary staff to implement and adjust plans of care; document accurately and timely
- Maintain patient and family education, safety, and comfort; respond to changes in patient status and escalate as needed
- Float between ICU and stepdown units as required to support staffing and patient needs
Requirements
- Active RN license in Georgia with Nursys license verification
- Minimum 2 years of neuro ICU/IMCU experience
- Strong neuro nursing expertise with ability to manage ICU and stepdown care
- Ability to work night shift and float between ICU and IMCU units
- Candidates must provide work history/resume with no gaps greater than 60 days, Skills Checklist, References, Certification Card, and Nursys verification as part of the profile
- Demonstrated critical thinking, communication, and teamwork in a high-acuity environment
