This isn’t just a job; it’s a pathway to broaden your impact, sharpen your PT skills, and experience dynamic clinical settings while serving communities across Montana and beyond.
Helena blends history with breathtaking scenery, offering a rich backdrop for your professional and personal life. Stroll through a vibrant downtown, enjoy the surrounding mountains, and unwind by waterways that invite outdoor adventures in every season. The region’s healthcare community is welcoming and collaborative, providing opportunities to connect with a spectrum of patients—from urban clinics to rural outreach—while you explore some of the state’s most accessible natural beauty. Role specifics and benefits: As a Physical Therapist on our travel team, you’ll perform comprehensive patient evaluations and develop evidence-based, individualized treatment plans designed to restore function, reduce pain, and enhance quality of life. You’ll apply therapeutic exercise, manual therapy, gait training, functional mobility strategies, and electrotherapeutic modalities, tailoring interventions to acute, post-acute, orthopedic, neurological, and geriatric populations. Objective assessment and progress documentation are essential, with ongoing communication to patients, families, and the care team to align goals and expectations. You’ll champion patient education for self-management and prevention, monitor progress with standardized outcomes, and adjust plans as clinical status evolves. Collaboration will be central, as you work with physicians, nurses, therapists, and support staff to ensure seamless, person-centered care. There are ample opportunities for professional growth within this specialty, including exposure to multiple rehab disciplines, advanced techniques, and participation in clinical protocols and quality-improvement initiatives. The role also supports mentorship of junior staff and opportunities to contribute to program development.
Our compensation and benefit package is designed to recognize your expertise and support your long-term goals. In addition to the guaranteed weekly hours and competitive pay, you’ll have access to a sign-on bonus or equivalent incentive, housing assistance to ease transitions, and flexible extension opportunities that fit your career plan. We provide comprehensive, long-term support to ensure you can deliver exceptional care without logistical hurdles: dedicated travel coordinators handle licensing, credentialing, and housing logistics; a 24/7 support team is available to assist you on assignment, day or night; and ongoing clinical and pastoral mentorship helps you stay at the forefront of rehabilitation science. You’ll also benefit from access to continuing education resources and professional development stipends that empower you to expand your skill set and advance your career.
