Responsibilities
- Provide intraoperative support in cardiovascular procedures as circulating and scrub tech, adhering to sterile technique and room safety
- Prepare and maintain instrument sets, drapes, and supplies; assist with positioning and draping of patients
- Pass instruments, manage counts, suction, and assist with hemostasis and exposure during cases
- Support the surgical team and anesthesia providers; communicate needs and respond to intraoperative events
- Document relevant intraoperative information and ensure efficient room turnover between cases
Requirements
- Active Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) license and BLS certification
- Minimum 2 years CVOR experience in a level I trauma center; prior circulating experience plus recent scrub experience on cardiac surgeries
- Credentialing requirements include completing a CVOR questionnaire for every submittal; CBC, DS, and lab work must be completed within 72 hours of offer acceptance
- Availability for 8-, 10-, or 12-hour shifts with a 40-hour workweek; must be willing to take call on holidays
- Ability to work in a high-demand CVOR environment and follow facility policies
