Responsibilities
- Plan and provide direct nursing care for PCU/telemetry patients, including monitoring and adjusting treatment plans as needed
- Accurately interpret ECG rhythms and respond to life-threatening emergencies in a timely manner
- Administer medications and IV therapies, including blood products, and manage indwelling lines and drains
- Monitor patient status, document findings, and communicate with the interdisciplinary team; supervise and delegate tasks to ancillary staff within scope of practice
- Care for patients post coronary interventions and post device placements (e.g., pacemaker/ICD) and manage post-ACS care per protocol
- Verify alarm settings with the monitor technician and ensure safe, evidence-based care and patient safety

Requirements
- Current RN license in the state of practice (California required)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved vendor
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification from an approved vendor
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) proficiency; NIHSS certification required within 6 months of hire
- ADN/ASN required; BSN preferred
- Basic Dysrhythmia course and Critical Care course preferred
- 6 months of cardiac step-down or telemetry experience in the last 2 years preferred
- Ability to work night shifts in a high-acuity PCU/telemetry setting
- Willingness to float to medical-surgical units if needed
