Travel Registered Nurse ICU Job
Registered Nurse – ICU in Saratoga Springs, NY. This is a travel, temporary assignment starting 08/10/2026 with a duration of Weeks. Weekly pay ranges from $1,933 to $2,092 per week. Shift is 3x12 Nights. The position is in an adult/geriatric ICU unit within a health system serving the Saratoga/Albany region. Orientation is 24 hours prior to start.

Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care on the ICU unit for adult and geriatric patients, including ventilator management and care of ventilated patients
- Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms; read rhythms and pass hospital proctored rhythm tests (facility requires high rhythm identification accuracy)
- Manage central lines/PICC care and blood product administration; support high-flow nasal cannula therapy
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (respiratory therapy, physical therapy, pharmacy, radiology, phlebotomy, social services, rapid response, transportation, unit secretary)
- Perform nursing duties in line with acuity expectations; implement IV insulin protocols and monitor for acute/chronic renal failure
- Document in Epic; ensure patient safety, infection control, and appropriate escalation per protocol
- Float within predefined skill set as directed by unit leadership; participate in orientation and compliance requirements
Requirements
- NY RN license in hand at submission
- 3 years of current ICU experience
- Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
- Ability to read and interpret EKG rhythms; pass hospital proctored rhythm test (>80% rhythm ID; 100% critical rhythms)
- Travel experience preferred but not required
- Must read rhythms and complete Relias EKG exam within 72 hours of signing
- Orientation: 24 hours; Healthstream module completion prior to start (by 7 a.m. the Wednesday before start)
- Must be able to work in an ICU setting with the described patient population
- COVID-19 vaccine not required; flu vaccine required or documented exemption
- NY license must be current and in hand at submission; references and certifications due prior to start
- Local radius restriction: Candidates must be outside a 50-mile radius of the assignment location; excluded counties include Warren, Washington, Fulton, Montgomery, Rensselaer, Saratoga, Schenectady, Albany, Columbia, Greene, Dutchess, and Ulster
