Responsibilities
- Perform MRI exams across a range of clinical indications, ensuring high-quality imaging appropriate for interpretation.
- Prepare patients, verify imaging orders, screen for contraindications, obtain consent when required, and position patients for optimal coil selection and image quality.
- Monitor patients during scanning, manage comfort and safety, and apply appropriate safety protocols for all MRI procedures.
- Select and modify imaging sequences, adjust parameters, and optimize workflows to meet exam turnaround times while maintaining diagnostic quality.
- Document procedures accurately, maintain patient records, and collaborate with radiologists and other technologists to support accurate interpretation.
- Adhere to credentialing, licensing requirements (ARRT(MR) or ARMRIT; OBMI MRI license in Oregon) and facility policies, including on-call responsibilities as scheduled.
Requirements
- Active ARRT(MR) or ARMRIT certification
- Oregon Board of Medical Imaging (OBMI) state license for MRI required
- Minimum 2 years of MRI experience
- Ability to work the described schedule, including weekend on-call
