Responsibilities
- Deliver coordinated nursing care for a patient or assigned group of patients according to established standards of care and the nursing process.
- Supervise and direct the activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff, and coordinate care with other disciplines.
- Utilize critical thinking, professional and supervisory discretion, and independent judgment in daily clinical decisions.
- Monitor patient conditions, respond to changes, administer medications and treatments as prescribed, and document care accurately.
- Collaborate with physicians, technicians, and other care team members to ensure safe and effective patient outcomes.
Requirements
- ER nursing experience (preferred; 1+ year commonly expected for ER travel assignments)
- Current RN license appropriate to practice location (California) or eligibility per state requirements
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
- Ability to work 12-hour day shifts and 36 hours per week
- Ability to travel for a travel assignment and thrive in a fast-paced ER setting
