Responsibilities
- Deliver direct patient care in the ER, including triage, assessment, monitoring, and re-assessment of patients with a wide range of urgent and emergent conditions
- Administer medications, navigate IV therapy, and perform procedures within scope of practice under physician and advanced practice supervision
- Interpret diagnostic data, implement treatment plans, and escalate changes in patient condition promptly
- Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapy, radiology, and other team members; communicate clearly during handoffs
- Document accurately in the medical record; ensure infection control and safety standards are followed
- Provide patient and family education, discharge planning, and referrals as appropriate
- Respond to emergencies and code events per protocol; participate in debriefings and quality improvement initiatives
Requirements
- Active Massachusetts RN license (must be uploaded with profile)
- Minimum 3 years current Emergency Department experience
- Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC (all active)
- Massachusetts Temporary Nursing Service Agency License (Nursing Pool) required to be uploaded upfront
- Own reliable vehicle and ability to commute to the assignment location
- Profile must include perm address and all scheduling information requested at submission
- Ability to work in an ER setting and meet the demands of a 12-hour night-based schedule
- Documentation of Supervisory Signed Reference from within the past two years (as applicable)
