Responsibilities
- Deliver patient-centered emergency care for a diverse patient population, using evidence-based practices.
- Perform triage, initial assessment, ongoing monitoring, and reassessment of acute conditions in the ED.
- Administer medications, IV therapies, and procedures as ordered; monitor for adverse reactions and effectiveness.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and allied health staff to develop and implement care plans; participate in shift handoffs.
- Ensure patient and family education on diagnoses, treatments, procedures, and discharge planning; uphold safety and infection control standards.
- Maintain accurate documentation of assessments, interventions, and outcomes in the medical record; ensure compliance with privacy and regulatory requirements.
Requirements
- Current, active RN license in Georgia
- Graduate of an approved nursing program (RN)
- Experience in or demonstrated ability to work in an Emergency Department setting
- Ability to work a night shift schedule and participate in a travel assignment
- Strong communication, critical thinking, and teamwork skills; commitment to patient safety and quality care
