Responsibilities
- Serve as EP lab scrub tech, supporting EP procedures by maintaining sterile fields, passing instruments, and anticipating equipment needs during cases.
- Assist with implantable devices and ablations, including pacemakers (PPM, ICD, Micra), Afib/Aflutter, WPW, SVT, VT, PVC, as well as Watchman devices and laser lead extractions.
- Set up, calibrate, and troubleshoot EP lab equipment; monitor patient safety and hemodynamics during procedures; document events in the EMR (EPIC) and communicate with the care team.
- Prepare instrumentation and supplies for cath/IR and EP cases; assist with post-procedure care, specimen handling, and room turnover.
- Maintain infection control and regulatory compliance within the EP lab, including proper labeling, labeling of specimens, and data accuracy in the chart.
Requirements
- Active ARRT or RCIS or RCES license
- ACLS and BLS certifications
- Minimum 2 years of EP lab experience, with hands-on experience in pacemakers (PPM, ICD, Micra), ablations (Afib, Aflut, WPW, SVT, VT, PVC), Watchman devices, laser lead extrations, and stimulation (Bloom)
- Preferred: 2 years Cath/IR and EP experience; open to RNs with Cath/IR/EP scrub experience
- Ability to work in a fast-paced EP lab environment; flexible to schedule needs; travel eligibility; credentialing to be completed within 72 hours of offer acceptance
