Travel Registered Nurse Med Surg Job
Registered Nurse - Ortho Bone & Joint (Nights), Med Surg, Herrin, Illinois. Travel assignment starting 03/30/2026 for 13 weeks, with guaranteed 36 hours per week in a hospital setting. Responsibilities
- Assess patients to determine mental, physical, and spiritual needs; participate in planning and evaluating care with the multidisciplinary team
- Develop, implement, and evaluate an individualized plan of care; adjust as patient needs change
- Provide explanations and instructions to patients and responsible persons; ensure understanding of care plans
- Demonstrate nursing clinical judgment to recognize and report changes in patient condition; escalate appropriately
- Maintain complete and accurate medical records; participate in continuing education
- Contribute to a healthy workplace by using professional communication and meeting Core Measure responsibilities related to patient care
Requirements
- Active Illinois Registered Nurse license
- Current CPR/BLS certification; ACLS preferred or required per unit assignment
- Education: Graduate of an approved nursing program; BSN preferred
- Experience: Relevant RN experience in Med Surg and/or Orthopedic/ortho-related care; travel assignment experience a plus
- Ability to work nights in an inpatient hospital setting; eligible for travel assignment
