Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in the operating room, including sterile technique, instrument handling, and scrub duties.
- Support the surgical team during procedures and monitor patient status in collaboration with anesthesia.
- Prepare and manage equipment and implants; assist with DaVinci robotic cases and complex procedures (head/neck, neuro spine, ex-lap).
- Float to all ORs as needed and maintain flexibility across the department.
- Complete required orientation and training, including new-hire orientation and ongoing EPIC training as scheduled.
- Participate in on-call coverage up to 6 shifts during the 13-week contract and ensure compliance with patient safety and perioperative policies.
Requirements
- Active RN license in Kansas or a valid Compact state; BLS certification (AHA)
- 2+ years OR experience; level 1 trauma experience; strong scrub skills
- Familiarity with DaVinci robotic cases; experience with large head and neck cases, neuro spine, and ex-lap
- Ability to float to all ORs and to participate in on-call shifts
- Prior travel experience preferred
- Must meet facility-specific orientation and training expectations as noted in schedule
