Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) assignment in a skilled nursing facility in Rio Rancho, New Mexico. Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to residents within the LPN scope of practice
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments per orders and protocols
- Monitor vital signs, assess changes in condition, and document findings; escalate as needed
- Assist residents with activities of daily living and maintain safety and comfort
- Collaborate with the RN and interdisciplinary team to implement and adjust care plans
- Uphold infection control practices and maintain accurate documentation; participate in shift handoffs
Requirements
- Current LPN license in New Mexico or eligibility to obtain licensure
- Experience in a skilled nursing facility or long-term care setting preferred
- Ability to work night shift (18:00–06:30) and maintain 36 hours per week
- CPR/BLS certification preferred or ability to obtain
- Strong communication and documentation skills; capable of working effectively in a team
