Responsibilities
- Deliver direct nursing care in the cath lab, including patient assessment, monitoring, and relief of discomfort during procedures
- Prepare, assist with, and support diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures; maintain sterile technique and equipment readiness
- Monitor hemodynamics, intervene as needed, and coordinate care with physicians, technologists, and the broader health care team
- Provide post-procedure recovery care, identify complications, and contribute to discharge planning and patient education
- Document assessments, plans, interventions, and patient responses; participate in care coordination and safe patient handoff
- Ensure patient safety, infection prevention, and adherence to policies and regulatory requirements; advocate for patients and families
Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse license in California (or state of practice per assignment)
- Minimum of two years’ recent acute care nursing experience
- BSN preferred
- Certifications: BLS (American Heart Association or ARC) and ACLS (AHA-ACLS or ARC-ALS) required
- Ability to work in a cath lab environment within a fast-paced acute care setting
- Current licensure per state of assignment and the ability to meet facility-specific requirements
