Responsibilities
- Provide pre-procedural preparation and post-procedural recovery for interventional radiology patients, including overnight observation when needed
- Deliver 23-hour care and monitoring for IR patients, including telemetry observation and post-procedure assessments
- Care for patients undergoing imaging procedures (CT, MRI, Nuclear Medicine, X-ray, ultrasound) and assist with GI postprocedural needs when applicable
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team (radiology, anesthesia, physicians, and nursing colleagues) to ensure safe, efficient peri-procedural care
- Maintain accurate documentation, nursing assessments, and appropriate handoffs; respond to changes in patient status and emergencies
- Float as needed within a fast-paced IR setting, with on-call/callback responsibilities and charge per unit needs

Requirements
- Licenses/Certifications: Current New York RN license; BLS (American Heart Association); ACLS (American Heart Association)
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of interventional radiology nursing experience; telemetry experience required
- Education: Nursing degree and licensure appropriate for RN practice in New York
- Skills: Strong communication, critical thinking, and teamwork; ability to work in a fast-paced pre/post interventional radiology department
- Scheduling/Environment: Ability to work a rotating (D/E/N) 4x10-hour shift schedule, including holidays and weekends; on-call/callback as needed
- Additional: Experience with pre/post care in IR and comfort caring for patients across inpatient and outpatient settings
