Responsibilities
- Perform radiographic imaging procedures (X-ray) according to physician orders.
- Properly position patients and select appropriate exposure factors to obtain diagnostic-quality images.
- Adhere to radiation safety protocols and shielding requirements to protect patients and staff.
- Process and label images, verify patient identity, and ensure accurate documentation; transmit images to PACS as required.
- Maintain equipment cleanliness, troubleshoot basic equipment issues, and coordinate with ED team to support patient flow.
- Communicate effectively with radiologists, technologists, and other clinical staff to ensure timely and accurate imaging.
Requirements
- Ability to perform radiographic exams with proper patient positioning and safety considerations.
- Knowledge of radiation safety practices and protection protocols.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills; able to work in a fast-paced ED environment.
- Availability to work the listed shift: Fri/Sat/Sun 7:00 a.m.–7:00 p.m.
- Graduation from an accredited radiologic technology program (typical education requirement).
- Travel assignment experience is a plus; ED imaging experience is desirable (not required).
